The problem with classic currency matching

International payments received on a traditional bank account pose a major challenge for accounting teams: amounts reduced by invisible SWIFT fees, undocumented exchange rates, and truncated references. Here is the ibani solution.

Classic Bank + ERPFlow via ibani + ERP
Identification of incoming payments
Searching for the corresponding client
Manual, via amount searchAutomatic via named IBANs
Exchange Differences
Entering discrepancies at month-end
Must be calculated and entered manually Exact rate and margin (max 0.4%) documented
Correspondent Bank Fees
Justifying incomplete amounts received
Arbitrary and untraceable deductions No hidden fees (100% of the sum arrives)
Data Integration
How data gets into the ERP
Manual entry from PDF statement Import via structured file (CSV/XLSX)

Frictionless accounting, without complex API integration

Our system was designed to fit naturally into your existing processes. No costly developments are needed to start automating your reconciliation.

🏦

Dedicated Named IBANs

Create a specific IBAN (CHF, EUR, USD...) for each of your regular international clients. When a payment arrives on this IBAN, you instantly and with absolute certainty know which invoice to attribute it to.

⏱️

Precise Timestamping

Every currency conversion is recorded down to the second. The applied exchange rate is locked and documented, eliminating guesswork during month-end accounting reviews.

📑

Plug & Play Standardized Exports

Generate transaction statements in CSV or Excel format with one click. The columns (Date, Currency In, Amount In, Currency Out, Amount Out, Rate, Reference) are ready to be ingested by your accounting software.

👥

Multi-User Access

Grant read-only access to your accounting team or external fiduciary. They can download the necessary exports without depending on you, and without having the rights to execute payments.

🔍

Zero Invisible Fees

Unlike classic SWIFT transfers where intermediaries deduct fees along the way (making the received amount lower than the invoiced amount), ibani guarantees the receipt of the full funds, simplifying matching.

💾

Unlimited History

All your exchange and transfer data is securely stored. You can go back to any past accounting period to extract the supporting documents required by your auditors.

Your exports, always available

From the ibani web platform, filter your operations by date or by exchange route, and download the data ready to be integrated into your ERP.

Technical and Accounting Questions

No, no technical integration is required. ibani provides structured export files (.csv, .xlsx) that you can directly import into your accounting software (Bexio, Winbiz, Crésus, Abacus, etc.) via their bank statement or cash movement import module.

Rather than asking all your clients to pay into the same account, you assign an "exchange route" (a unique ibani IBAN) to each major client. In your ERP, this IBAN is associated with the client record. When a payment is received on this IBAN, it is immediately reconciled with that client's open invoices, regardless of the reference provided.

Each transaction clearly displays the original amount received, the currency, the final converted amount, the precise exchange rate applied to that specific transaction, and the exact time. There are no more "unexplained differences" to provision for: everything is mathematically traceable.

No. ibani accounts are transit accounts (exchange routes). Funds are not permanently stored there; they transit briefly during conversion. You do not need to audit them or declare them as traditional checking accounts during the annual closing.
